I am an independent PR and marketing communications consultant with over 25 years' experience within the technology sector: as a client, managing agency teams, and working as a freelance consultant.
I am passionate about helping businesses use the media as a cost-effective way to get in front of more potential new customers, partners, investors and other stakeholders. And I can help set up new programmes, re-energise an existing activity or work on one-off projects.
My track record includes developing successful campaigns in areas such as semiconductors, engineering services, product design, healthcare, and lab equipment. But I have worked on everything from road pothole repair technologies to intraocular lenses for cataract treatment.
I was group PR director and MD for the Cambridge office of one of the UK's leading and multi award-winning B2B communications agencies. Where my role included building and leading the European PR agency teams for NXP Semiconductors and Philips Healthcare.
Although my background is in pharma R&D, I left the lab to join a technical advertising and PR agency, and have worked across a broad range of technology and business sectors ever since. I was elected as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations in 2012 for my contribution to the PR profession.
