When university spin-out Flusso was sold in 2022, I was asked to manage the global press announcement. However, for commercial reasons we were unable to name the acquiring semiconductor company and global PE fund.
My role involved working with Flusso’s CEO and board; exiting VC investors, their marketing managers and PR agencies; and a legal advisor for the sale to agree the messaging, press release and announcement strategy.
We also developed a detailed Q&A for use with Flusso customers, distributors and suppliers, and arranged regular all company briefings to address any specific employee concerns.
Thanks to Simon’s professional and thorough approach, we ensured everyone knew what they could say about the sale and our acquirers, and how best to respond to further enquiries.
Dr Andrea De Luca, CEO at Flusso.
When the sale was announced, we fully expected some journalists to want more details. To help manage this, I carefully coordinated the announcement messaging and responsibilities with all major stakeholders and acted as the primary contact for any media requests.
This approach ensured Flusso could give direct and consistent responses while avoiding the risk of anyone accidentally disclosing confidential information.
